Writing - Do's and Do not's
DO'S
- Purpose - Write with purpose.
- References - Use references to back up points you have made.
- Forums - Use our and other forums to gauge current topics.
- Read - Know your subject, read various styles and grasp the latest topics.
- Prepare - Know what you want to say before hitting the keyboard. Consider starting with a piece of paper and try to establish a route through the article.
- Check - Read your work, does it says what you intended? Check that there are no spelling or grammatical errors.
- Challenge - Ask questions of your readers, make them think.
- Original - Be original, offer something unique.
- Language - Be concise, considered, challenging English please.
- Reply - Respond to comments about your articles, reply to fellow writers.
DO NOT'S
- Overdo swearing - We appreciate that sometimes swearing can be useful to add emphasis but do not swear throughout for teh sake of it.
- Score points - Do not attempt to score points against rival clubs.
- Be reactionary - Do be considered.
