Palace are actually looking like a good team! They are playing better than us but Arsenal are creating chances - plenty of time to turn this around

I'm fed up of coming on here to rant and rave but this team is so frustrating. We just can't defend and the midfield has zero drive going forward. 2nd half I'd like to see xhaki taken off and the Ox put on. We really need more from that midfield if we're gonna get anything from this game. If we come out with the same midfield we're gonna lose imo.

We have poor up both ends but defensively that is the norm with us.

But offensively there are two players on the pitch who look like creating something for us and that is Sanchez and Xhaka. Welbeck may as well not be on there and Walcott can only contribute poacher style goals in a game like this otherwise he is useless as well.

This game typifies why people get on Ozil's back. He moans and groans that he needs the ball to play and that this is why he struggled in the games against Bayern for example. And I get that, I really do. But we have had loads of the ball tonight and where has he been? Poncing around on the left playing one-twos with Sanchez. Its not good enough from him.

2-0 Crystal Palace

I don't think you can blame Welbeck, he was starved of possession . Midfield has been non existent. Xhaki has been shocking all season.

3-0 Cystal Palace...

Feel bad for Wenger but it's gone from him. No turning back now !!

Why? Is that when you expect Wenger to announce his new contract?

Wenger really has no one else to blame but himself. To much faith in average players. Not dealing with the obvious flaws in the team.

The biggest problem with Wenger is that he just can't see the obvious. Its just so depressing watching his team making the same mistakes, showing lack of fight when it counts, making the wrong signings again and again. I just wish someone at the club would be brave enough to just tell him how it is.

I seriously think that Arsene hears the opposition fans sing (again) "Arsene Wenger we want you to stay" as an endorsement for him to sign a new contract!

3-0 Crystal Palace.

Full Time!!

Not sure what more can be said. Big changes needed in summer. Top 4 is pretty much out of our reach now. Sanchez and Ozil will 100% leave in the summer. Expect top 7 football for the next few seasons.

Carragher hit the ball out the park with his post match analysis.

I don't believe there will be a new contract.

If I had to lay down a £, I'd say that Wenger has decided to call it a day, the hierarchy know he's decided to call it a day, the players (likely) know he's decided to call it a day, but Wenger is holding off the announcement until the end of the season and until the club have secured their target. Or a target.

What I see right now is fans arguing and fighting, and players not playing for Arsene or the club. If what you say is true and Arsene has made his mind up to leave, what benefit is there to anyone for not announcing it? If Wenger announced that he leaving at the end of the season I would be certain that all the fans will rally behind him and the club and no matter where we finish. I only see negativity from not making an announcement either way!

I remember you back in the days when we were either winning titles or competing. Losing was not so painful- we had hope hat next season we will be competing. For many years now there has not been any real hope - only the inevitability of top 4 finish. Why are you so averse to replacing Wenger? Swansea Leicester and now Palace - all changed managers and have been positively transformed.

Possibly because the club haven't found (or even started to look for) his replacement, and there could be some leeway for Wenger to remain if the club can't secure a manager deemed capable of replacing him. Which in itself may be backdated until the end of the season in the overall summer shake-up.

Eh? You are about 3 seasons out of date here.

(I'd also argue Swansea haven't transformed shit, and the best manager they had was binned right at the start of the season.)
