Toasters - put two slices of toast into a toaster and one will come out nicely toasted on both sides while the other will be toasted on one side yet white and soft on the other.

Ruddy annoying.

Well then just get a single slice toaster and put a fresh slice on when you are eating the other one and they will all be lovely

Hedges - every time I look at it it's grown or changed shape so I have to clip it again and again and again, why can't it grow relatively uniformly for christ sake!

The weather - my garden is done, my first ever big expensive gas barbeque has arrived and the sun disappears, probably not to be seen till next year - sorry guys it's my fault the summer's ruined

You know that won't happen Jay, the single slice toaster will do it wrong or even if it does it right the second slice will be over done because of the residual heat.

Me thinks I'll use the grill.

Perhaps I'm taking life too seriously.

Gotta agree with that one. I bought a bottle of gas 3 years ago and I still have it

Pharmacists!

I've got the manflu and I tried to buy a nasal decongestant and a box of lemsip powders. Told me they couldn't sell me two products both containing decongestants. F**king nanny state!!! :headbang:

Doubt it's nanny state Skoosh - read the instructions for whichever one you bought - too much decongestant has a rebound effect which will make it worse and cause side effects.

I get sinusitis and have to take care how much I use.

Nanny state is exactly what it is herbie. I am a slave to my sinuses. It was never my intention to use both together. My initial symptoms were sinus related and I wanted a decongestant. I was buying the powders because I knew that eventually, the cold being the cold, that the sore throats and headaches would kick in and I would have to vary my self treatment. They might as well start selling paracetamol in blister packs of two.

Skoosh I really wouldn't bother with lemsip anyhow, it's a big con. You'd be better off having a couple of paracetamols, a strong cup of coffee and a huge glass of orange juice for the vit c. Cheaper too!

Seconded thirded and fourthed. My finals start on monday, not much fun at all. Still, this is the last two weeks in education for me so there is an undercurrent of excitement of just getting it all over.

well, when I say lemsips it was the unbranded equivalent. I never buy the branded medicines.
