2-1
Muamba 47', Arshavin 53', Park 57'

Job done, seems to have been pretty close at times.

Gonna watch this on Arsenal player. Great result!! To be fair i thought with Bolton having their strongest 11 out we might struggle!

According to Orbinho, we have made the quarter finals for the 9th season in a row now. The next best was Liverpool with 5 season in a row in the late 1970s, early 1980s. If anybody accuses us of not taking the Carling Cup serious, you could smack this stat into their faces.

I am glad that Vermaelen seems to have hit the ground running. Mertesacker and Koscielny have done well together, but this should ease your problems at right back as well.

According to Wenger Vermaelen came off with a "slight calf problem" and "will be a bit short for Saturday". :(

Highlights (focusing on JYP) on Youtube courtesy of a Korean channel:

JYP's technique is fantastic - his goal reminded me of Parlour's and Ljungberg's goals in the 2002 FA cup final against Chelsea, albeit from a slightly different angle. The keeper had no chance.

Why aren't we seeing more of Park J. Y.? As far as I've seen, he's a much better footballer than Chamakh. Better vision, finishing ability, quicker, ball control. Sure, he's not a giant, but we don't play much of a long game anymore. I think he fits our current dynamic now more than Chamakh does. Makes very good runs behind the defense, too. I would love to see some more of this guy.

Two very good goals, credit to both players. I found it interesting Arshavin was having a long conversation with Chamberlain after his goal, wonder what he was saying.

Hopefully we'll start to see a bit more of Park in the first team picture, he seem's to have confidence which is half the battle with strikers.

Have only seen the goals so can't comment on anything else, but its important to keep the run of results going, 7 wins out of 8 is good form however you slice it.

According to Vermaelen's twitter, it was just a slight cramp, and he was only taken off as a precaution.

Quick thoughts:

Not only did we buy Park but we also bought his shooting boots, something we neglected to ensure in the fine print of Chamakh's transfer. I honestly don't think it's hyperbole: didn't Park, with his three excellent shots on goal already surpass Chamakh's Arsenal totals? Chamakh remains (presumably) an excellent header of the ball, but other than that, let's get the Korean in the lineup. Very impressive game.

Nice to see Arshavin's woke up to, a little bit. He'd been showing signs of magic a bit and he erupted today. Boy, could we use him, especially with Walcott struggling. Arshavin's ability with the ball and his eye for a pass could really work well with our front 4 diamond of Van Persie, Gervinho, and an onrushing Ramsey. When he's at his best, Arshavin really understands movement on and off the ball, which puts him in a different class apart from Theo. Is it too reactionary to think that maybe if we can keep Arshavin and Van Persie fresh that they can work some more magic together?

Only managed to view highlights of the game so far, seems like we pretty much controlled the first half with Bolton's keeper making a number of decent saves. In the second half it was roles reverse....Bolton came out and scored almost instantly after the ball was given away in midfield. What secured our passage through to the next round was two very high quality finishes from both Arshavin and Park. Despite turning the game on its head in the space of a few mins Bolton still looked dangerous as we seemed to tired which is understandable with majority players lacking fitness due to lack of games or the youngsters not playing at such an intense level.

Many have spoken why hasn't Park featured more but let's be honest Chamakh hasn't featured a great deal apart from his game time in the Champions League against Olympicos and Stoke on Sunday. But I'm sure Park will feature much more as the seasons progresses as he seems to be acclimatising well and also the ANC is fast approaching.

Great to see Vermaelen back in the defence, he just oozes class and brings so much authority and assurance to this team. Motm has to be Arshavin, he's not had the best of times in recent months but he put in a good performance today and also looked sharpe on Sunday. He had the chance to play behind the forward and he showed what impact he can have scoring a fine individual goal and creating the winner for Park. I believe its no surprise we get the best out of him in his favourite position, if memory serves me correct the last time he gave a Motm performance was Aston Villa away last season where he played behind the forward and played out of his skin that day as well.

Park took the goal well, and his off-the-ball run was pretty impressive too - came back onside and peeled off just enough to not attract any defenders. Hope to see more of him.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle after the game:

"Arsenal scored two goals from their two shots on target. They never had another shot on target."

I dont know what game he was watching but we had 5 shots on target. Park himself forced a couple of good saves from Bogdan. I dont see why he has to lie to make his team look good.

Have not seen the match but i must those 2 strikes are of great quality. Hope to see more of Park like others have mentioned. Frimpong, albeit from the limited highlights i've seen of him, still seems like a headless chicken and his inconsistency really reflects his age. Kudos to Arshavin for the crucial moments in the game.

Really happy to see us win especially with Bolton putting out a strong team..

I think he meant after the 2nd goal. "They never had another shot on target [thereafter]".
