Wenger's last most important game for Arsenal .

Edgy start but growing into the game.

Jeeeeeezzzz I wish these guys would just put their foot through the ball. Trying to walk the ball into the net.

Fuck sakeeeeessss

That guy Costa again. Good goal but why are we so naive in defence?

Why don't we fucking shoot when we have the chance.

Another shite header from Chambers, Bellerin playing half-asleep and yet another solid half of football comes to nought.

Mkhitaryan key for the second. Atletico are giving up the channels and, save for Monreal, we have zero chance of a decent ball in from Bellerin or Welbeck.

As a grown man who has played football, if I was getting pushed off the ball by a player with such ease as Costa is doing to our players I would be embarrassed. But even so I would try my upmost to limit the damage, try anything to disrupt him.

I don't understand why these Arsenal players are just letting Costa push them around like this. It's pathetic. It's like they accept losing these types of fights.

Listening on the radio; Dean Ashton called us 'the gift that keeps on giving.' Had to be that shitbag, Costa didn't it.

Sounds bad for Koscielny, but that achilles has always been an issue. Poor old boy :(

Bellerin couldn't pass his driving test. The guy has fallen so far from grace it's unbelievable. The amount of over hit crosses from him have been embarrassing.

Confirmed as torn achilles for Koscielny. Defence already needed a lot of strengthening for next season, that just compounds things.

Them scoring doesn’t change anything- we needed to score at least one goal and it’s still the case.

Arsenal are creating plenty of chances - plenty of time left.

We're playing ok but we're just not clinical enough upfront. Every pass in the final 3rd has been poor.

And we fail. Again. They defended well but there was little quality in the final third. This was the night where some of these players could have made a name for themselves and yet again, they fail.

The one good thing of all this manager malarky is that now some of these players won't be able to hide behind their manager and will be called out for some of their absent performances.

We just don't have that big game mentality. Fucking around in the box when we had opportunities to shoot. Frustrating, annoying, naive, stupid, that just about sums it up.

When he went off, I felt it could be a blessing in disguise - speaking purely from a heartless footballing perspective. Koscielny has become our Vincent Kompany; injured to the point where he plays and doesn't look fit or strong, and then invariably ends up injured again before he regains sharpness.

At nearly 33 and out likely for months, the defensive reorganisation should start right there. We needed a no.1 defender, we now have a pressing urge to acquire one.

Agreed. If Wenger was staying I'd worry he'd wait for Koscielny to be fit again next season but with a new manager coming in I'd like to think this will be addressed.

I quite agree. I suspect that if Arsene was still in charge we would have stuck with Mustafi, Chambers, long term deal Holding and Mavropanos next season. At least this way, hopefully anyway, someone of real quality will be bought (and hopefully coached by someone with defensive nous). It was always a much needed addition, now it's absolutely vital.
