James Blake's new EP Enough Thunder is on heavy rotation for about a week. Nothing short of a masterpiece, literally. The guy is a fookin' genius.

Here is Fall Creek Boys Choir featuring Bon Iver:

What a combo. James Blake and Bon Jovi. Interesting.

Seriously, would be interested in what you think about it.

One of the better experimental hardcore albums I've come across recently, although The Shape of Punk to Come from Refused is still miles above it.

Circle are amazing, going to see them in Jan or Feb. New stuff is incredible. Not keen on refused, I know they're legends but just don't get it. Check out Breach, la dispute and city of caterpillar for progressive hardcore and screamo. This ia my scene!

I have The Qemists on high rotation right now. Its not often I'm instantly hooked by an artist, but these dudes got me right away. Bought both albums on Itunes; Spirit in the System is particularly excellent.

A little taster; if you like a hybrid of drum n' bass/grime/dubstep - whatever banal moniker is given to this music - worth a listen.

Almost two decades on, still one of the great, emotive tunes.

Also listening to a lot of Jeff Healey at the moment, following a chance viewing of Road House. Dude could play better than 99.9% of guitarists who actually have eyes.

I've been smashing this Russian alt band for the last three or four months - Slot (Слот). Generally I prefer singles than bands, there are only a handful I seriously follow. But these guys are repeat, repeat, repeat on Itunes. Shame the Youtube footage isn't better quality, but this is about my favourite tune - Bullet (Пуля), and there is another - Two Wars (Две Войны) - the chorus to that is superb. I'd go and see these wherever they may be in the UK.
