In the 1993-94 season George Graham led Arsenal to victory in Europe in the Cup Winners Cup competition. 'One-nil to the Arsenal' was the cry from the Gooner faithful that season and rather suitably it was by that scoreline that Arsenal clinched the victory in Copenhagen with Alan Smith scoring the final's only goal. »»»

In the late seventies / early eighties Arsenal made appearances in three successive cup finals from 1978 to 1980, in 1979 Arsenal got their hands on the trophy with a memorable 3-2 win over Manchester United with Alan Sunderland grabbing a late winner.

In 1989 Arsenal won their first championship for 18 seasons. They needed to beat Liverpool at Anfield by 2 clear goals. What happended next will be long remembered as the most climatic finishes to a season in football history.
